Hemington Wealth Management – Falls Church, Virginia — Branding Through Design – Hemington’s focus as a company is to help their clients make smart decisions that enable them to achieve their dreams. The design of their new 3,000 sf space centered around the idea of a wishing well. A place where dreams are articulated, and where hope for better things spurs one to action.
This is best exemplified in the design of the central stair and skylight that serves as a path leading to a brighter place. Below the stair is a custom cast in place concrete penny fountain and bench. It is a place where one can reflect on wishes and dreams. The open tread stair allows views through to spaces beyond, and the oversize opening in the floor allows views to spaces above. Workstations are divided with glass partitions and wood slats to maintain openness. Visual transparency reinforces the theme of visualizing goals, and the paths to reach them. EDD chose shades of bright greens balanced with neutrals through the finishes in the space to really represent Hemington’s identity.
